When leaving the SJO Airport, walk towards the last door and after passing immigration you will be welcome by Canatur Service (Camara Nacional de Turismo) they will give you a sticker to place on your t-shirt. This sticker will help your tour guide indentify you and welcome you to the country.
If you want to travel faster within our country use domestic flights. Here are some important facts:
Maximum luggage allowance is 25 pounds per person.
Excess luggage will be charged and subject to space or weight.

Banks are open from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (Estate banks) for money exchanging Make sure to pack light while you travel and make sure you include these items:

Driving in Costa Rica or any Latin America country can be a challenge. However, if you must you should try to avoid driving at night.
Never to leave anything of value in a parked car

If you would like to rent a car, we can help you get one that is best for the driving conditions you will encounter. You must meet the following criteria:
21 years for age with a valid Driver's License and Passport.
Provide a credit card with a security minimun of $1000 for the deposit
